When I was 26-years-old and in therapy with someone with whom I could really connect, she suggested that I draw the image that I have of myself as a baby. Here’s the picture that emerged!
Below is a picture that I drew a few years earlier when I was in my mid-twenties. At this time, I was up and down, in and out of depression. Drawing helped me express what I was feeling. The eye at the center of my being helped me understand that though my head (intellect) wasn’t giving me the answers that I needed, the wisdom was present inside me.
